Wow, we were so busy with our event, that we forgot to post this awesome Earth Day weekend celebration they’re having in Hollywood, FL. Celebrate Earth Day - Renew the Earth this Saturday April 26th at Anne Kolb Nature Center at West Lake Park from 10am - 3pm. Free Presentations and Exhibits (separate Park Exhibit Hall $1/person).

The Anne Kolb Nature Center at West Lake Park hosts a nature event celebrating Earth Day and environmental awareness. Presentations, exhibits, arts and crafts, and other activities will be offered. Free and for all ages.

Exhibitors include the Broward Sierra Club, Boy Scouts, Friends of Anne Kolb, Sea Turtle Conservation, US Army Corps of Engineers, Green League, Friends of the Everglades, Master Gardeners, South Plantation High School, The Energy Store, Flexi-Pave & more…

Kids Go Green Area by Trash 2 Treasure and Kids Ecology Corps

Nature Walks at 11am

Complimentary Lunch by Pizza Fusion, Jamba Juice, and Jaxson’s Ice Cream

Entertainment by “Earth Man” Lanny Smith, enviro singer/songwriter guitarist and banjo player Valerie Wisecracker and featured short film “The Story of Stuff”

Special Event Recycling

Bring all the “Other” plastics, including toys, furniture, flowerpots,5-gal buckets (dried paint okay) and any #4 through #7 plastics for this special collection. No styrofoam, please.
